Reflection #9

What, so what, now what?
In biostatistics Dr. T introduced us to Kahn Academy. Kahn has a demonstration for about everything math, science, and statistics! It might be helpful for a student to hear a formula explained differently than a teacher might. It is a very handy thing to know about, and can be a useful teaching tool for students if they need a refresher on a formula.

  1. Josh,
Profesor Adair had mention Kahn Academy earlier in the semester as well. I think it is so crazy to think that childrent can experience learning and teaching from someone other than thier designated teacher....but I really think it could be extremely beneficial. Sometimes when I am not getting a specific concept or idea and a peer or other individual explains it to me I find it easier to learn. Maybe Kahn Academy allows the students to relax and just focus on what the video content is rather than have the stress of the classroom on their shoulders. I think it is great that as technological education increases more outlets of learning are being formulated to help all students learn no matter the distance from teacher to student.
